My favorite dish, I tell everybody, is our scallops and risotto.

“My name is Jacob. I am a server and also a fill-in manager when needed. I have been here since Venue took it over, last January. So from the beginning. My favorite dish, I tell everybody, is our scallops and risotto. First of all, our scallops are real scallops and that makes a huge difference. They’re cooked properly. And our risotto is a little bit different. Traditionally you use a arborio rice where we use barley. It cooks a lot quicker and it actually makes for a thicker, nicer style of risotto. The most special thing about Piedmont to me is the comradery and the family style. I’ve worked in a lot of restaurants and this is the closest I’ve ever been with fellow staff members of every single position. Everybody comes in, they know each other very well, and it’s a family so that’s what makes it so special.”
